A CLEAR START

Connect once. Keep the context.

Use Fantasy is currently a controlled private preview. An invitation and a verified account are required. Signing in alone does not enroll an account or connect a fantasy team.

  1. Sign into Use Fantasy

Open Your account. Use your normal Use Fantasy login and an operator-issued invitation if enrollment is required. Confirm the receiving profile before connecting a provider. A public username or matching email is not an identity check.

  2. Connect a provider and confirm your team

ESPN: use desktop Chrome, sign into ESPN in the same Chrome profile and install the owned Use Fantasy ESPN Connector using your private setup instructions. Sign into Use Fantasy inside it, confirm the receiving account, explicitly consent to session transfer, then Sync. Enter the sport, season-start year and league, verify access, then select your owned team. The extension is currently an unpacked developer installation, not a Chrome Web Store release.

Your ESPN browser identity and receiving Use Fantasy identity are different accounts. Sync sends the necessary ESPN session cookies over HTTPS to the hosted service, where they are encrypted. It is not ESPN OAuth; the extension's Use Fantasy grant is connect-only. Never paste credentials into ChatGPT.

Sleeper: enter a public username in Account, discover the relevant season and explicitly select the returned league/team. This is public roster association, not proof of control of a native Sleeper login.

Starting on a phone? Complete the ESPN Chrome step on a computer. Once connected, supported ChatGPT conversations can read your saved teams on other devices.

  3. Request your first update

Use Account to request collection and analysis. A queued request is not an immediate refresh. Check each team's collection time and update status; one failed league does not mean every connection failed. Seasonal successor teams require fresh selection and rules.

  4. Ask in ChatGPT

Use your existing private Use Fantasy connection in a supported conversation. Try “What deserves my attention across all my teams?” Follow up with one team, a waiver/drop/hold comparison or a dated hockey question. ChatGPT reads saved state; application changes use the separately authenticated account page or trusted Codex.

Three different checks

Connected means access is saved. Recent means a source was successfully collected at the displayed time. Ready means the particular decision has its required rules, forecasts, roster space and lock checks. None implies the others.
