ESPN SETUP
Connect an ESPN team with desktop Chrome.
ESPN football and NHL head-to-head points use the owned Use Fantasy ESPN Connector. It currently uses a private unpacked developer installation, not a published Chrome Web Store release. Obtain the existing setup instructions from the operator; do not install an unrelated similarly named extension.
Free, invitation-only private preview. Signing in does not enroll an account or grant provider permission. A phone can read saved evidence later, but it cannot complete this desktop connection step.

Confirm the two receiving identities
Sign into ESPN normally in the Chrome profile you intend to use. Open the connector and choose Sign in to Use Fantasy. Check the receiving Use Fantasy name before transferring anything. If it is wrong, choose Switch account and sign into the intended enrolled account.

Consent to Connect ESPN
Read the session-transfer consent and deliberately choose Connect ESPN. The necessary ESPN session cookies travel over HTTPS to the receiving Use Fantasy account and are encrypted server-side. This is not ESPN OAuth. The connector’s Use Fantasy permission is connect-only; never paste cookies, passwords or tokens into ChatGPT or support.

Find your exact team
Paste the ESPN team or league address. Check the parsed sport, league and season-start year; hockey retains its provider-native season too. Choose Find my team, inspect the returned association and deliberately use Add team. For an existing league, Save team change changes only that association. A matching name alone is not enough.
Read the confirmed saved selection. A successful transfer or an unconfirmed request does not establish that the intended team was saved.

Continue the incomplete Account step
If Account supplied a setup return link, open Help & diagnostics → Resume a task from Account, paste that link and choose Use return link. After the exact selection is confirmed, use the connector’s task-specific Continue action to return to Account. This is deliberate navigation, not an automatic handoff or data update.
Check the selected question/team, request its update explicitly, inspect the per-team result and original source times, then continue in ChatGPT. Keep your existing Account tab when resuming an earlier question.
Stop at the boundary that needs repair.
Use Fantasy sign-in expired or the wrong account is shown
Sign into Use Fantasy again and recheck the receiving name. This does not itself require a new ESPN transfer. Use Switch account deliberately if the receiving identity is wrong; do not transfer to that account first.
ESPN access expired
Sign into ESPN normally in the same Chrome profile, review consent and use Reconnect ESPN. Saved selections remain separate from whether their data is recent.
A team is missing or the sport/season is wrong
Check the exact ESPN account, link, sport and season. Only select a verified returned association. Do not substitute another team or reuse last season’s selection as current.
Busy or interrupted work
If the message explicitly says the action did not start, wait and retry deliberately. If the outcome is unknown, use Check connection status and inspect the saved connection/selection before any retry. Do not repeat a session transfer or selection blindly. Busy and uncertain outcomes →
Start a question after setup.
Only an explicit task link carries its kind. Private wording stays in Account. An expired preview has a different repair.
Reviewed October 30, 2026 against private connector 0.1.11 and released Account labels. Existing owner account-switch/saved-status evidence is narrow: the complete independent and approved Store-ID lifecycle remain unqualified. No private owner screenshot is presented as setup proof.
